I have chosen Senses of Cinema for my Art Journal.

I chose this journal because of the "great directors" section, as well as the number of articles for each year of cinema. It will be fun to gradually go back in time and discover more about cinema I am unfamiliar with, as well as look up directors I have yet to hear about, especially for 60's and 70's cinema.

Noah - sounds like a good reason for selecting Senses of Cinema. It _ is_ one of the things I like about the publication, the way it is open to differing historical periods as well as different modes of filmmaking. And its interest in books and festival is, I find, most helpful.
I encourage you to look at the festival reports - they can give you a sense of possibilities for your own work and also offer a sense of the current landscape for film. (And also one of the current reports is written by a UWM film grad, but then I'd recommend even if that wasn't the case.)
